Mid-Level Interior Designer Job Description

Stantec is seeking a skilled Mid-Level Interior Designer to join our interdisciplinary team in Houston, Texas. As a key member of our Buildings practice, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional interior design solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Excellence: Advocate for design excellence and creativity within the practice of interior design, both internally and externally.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate between offices to support multiple project teams while maintaining the established project design vision.
  • Interdisciplinary Teams: Participate in interdisciplinary teams and engage team members in design dialog to ensure the design process is followed.
  • Technology: Investigate technology to improve efficiencies and communicate openly and honestly with respect and courtesy.
  • Client Service: Anticipate client needs to consistently deliver excellent client service and solicit input from team members and seek guidance to address challenges.
  • Portfolio: Develop and maintain a professional portfolio that showcases your design expertise and experience.
Qualifications:
  • Credentials: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Interior Design or related field is required, and an Interior Design License is also required.
  • Experience: Minimum of five years of related experience is preferred, and a strong portfolio that demonstrates your design skills and experience is essential.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUP, Newforma, and recent modeling software is required.
