Position Overview

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a skilled CT/C-arm Technologist to become a vital part of our flexible workforce. In this role, you will travel to various outpatient facilities, collaborating with a diverse group of professionals, including Radiologists, to enhance your expertise in imaging technology. This full-time position offers an option for part-time hours (30-39 hours per week, eligible for benefits) with day shifts from Monday to Friday, including a weekend rotation (no on-call duties). Compensation includes differential pay and mileage reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties (80%):

  • Conducts routine and advanced CT imaging procedures on specified body areas to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions with minimal supervision.
  • Evaluates patients prior to examinations for any potential risks or contraindications.
  • Prepares patients for CT or diagnostic and therapeutic injection (DTI) procedures, explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and providing support throughout.
  • Generates high-quality diagnostic images and performs assigned quality control tasks.
  • Adjusts scanning parameters as necessary, employing dose reduction techniques when appropriate.
  • Engages with healthcare professionals, patients, and their families as needed.
  • Adheres strictly to physician directives and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and colleagues.
  • Fosters positive relationships with radiologists, referring physicians, and fellow staff members.
  • Maintains accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Keeps the work area organized and clean to promote safety for patients and coworkers.
  • Ensures compliance with ACR toolkit and accreditation standards.

Imaging Support Duties (15%):

  • Ensures imaging equipment is properly maintained and sanitized after each use.
  • Assists in the upkeep of an updated radiographic protocol manual.
  • Monitors and manages medical supply inventory.
  • Provides training and technical support to new team members.

Additional Responsibilities (5%):

  • Performs other assigned tasks as needed.
