Position Overview

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a dedicated CT/C-arm Technologist to become part of our flexible workforce. In this role, you will have the opportunity to travel to various outpatient facilities, collaborating with a diverse team of professionals, including Radiologists, to enhance your expertise in imaging technology. This is a full-time role (with an option for part-time hours between 30-39 per week, eligible for benefits) primarily scheduled for Monday through Friday during daytime hours, with occasional weekend rotations (no on-call duties). Compensation includes differential pay and mileage reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities:

(80%) Patient Imaging Duties

  • Conducts standard and advanced CT imaging procedures on specified body areas to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions with minimal supervision.
  • Evaluates patients prior to examinations for any necessary precautions or contraindications.
  • Prepares patients for CT or diagnostic and therapeutic injection (DTI) procedures, clearly explaining the process, positioning them appropriately, and providing support throughout the imaging.
  • Generates diagnostic images in the assigned area and performs quality assurance tasks as required.
  • Adjusts scanning parameters as necessary, applying dose reduction techniques when appropriate.
  • Engages with physicians, nurses, patients, and family members as needed.
  • Adheres strictly to physician directives and complies with safety regulations to ensure the well-being of patients and colleagues.
  • Fosters positive relationships with radiologists, referring physicians, and fellow team members.
  • Accurately maintains patient documentation within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Keeps the work area organized and clean to promote safety for patients and staff.
  • Maintains ACR toolkit and meets accreditation standards.

(15%) Imaging Support Responsibilities

  • Ensures imaging equipment is well-maintained; performs cleaning and disinfection after each use.
  • Assists in updating the radiographic protocol manual.
  • Monitors and manages medical supply inventory.
  • Supports the training of new staff by providing resources and technical guidance.

(5%) Additional Duties

  • Performs other related tasks as assigned.
