Position Overview

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a dedicated CT/C-arm Technologist to become a vital part of our flexible workforce. In this role, you will have the opportunity to travel to various outpatient facilities, collaborating with diverse team members, Radiologists, and advanced imaging equipment to enhance your professional skills. We are open to providing training for those interested in expanding their expertise in CT imaging. This position offers full-time hours (with the option for part-time at 30-39 hours per week, eligible for benefits) and requires availability for Monday to Friday day shifts, along with a weekend rotation (no on-call duties). Additional compensation for travel and mileage is included.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

(80%) Patient Imaging

  • Conducts routine and complex CT imaging procedures on specified body areas to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions with minimal supervision.
  • Evaluates patients prior to examinations for any necessary precautions or contraindications.
  • Prepares patients for CT or diagnostic and therapeutic injection (DTI) procedures, explaining the process, positioning them appropriately, and providing support throughout.
  • Generates diagnostic images in the assigned area and performs quality assurance tasks as required.
  • Adjusts scanning parameters accurately, employing dose reduction techniques as needed.
  • Engages in communication with physicians, nurses, patients, and family members as necessary.
  • Adheres strictly to physicians' directives and complies with safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and colleagues.
  • Fosters positive relationships with radiologists, referring professionals, and fellow associates.
  • Maintains accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Keeps the work area organized and clean to promote safety for patients and staff.
  • Ensures compliance with ACR toolkit and accreditation standards.

(15%) Imaging Support

  • Maintains imaging equipment in optimal condition; performs cleaning and disinfection after each use.
  • Assists in the upkeep of an updated radiographic protocol manual.
  • Monitors and manages medical supply inventory.
  • Contributes to the training of new staff, offering resources and technical guidance.

(5%) Additional Responsibilities

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
