Job Overview
The primary objective of this position is to oversee the daily logistics operations while ensuring that Pilot Company drivers adhere to all applicable federal, state, local, and corporate regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as the main liaison for communication with all Clean Drivers and field managers within a designated operational area regarding daily matters (e.g., safety and customer-related issues); maintain consistent communication with team members at the Sales and Support Center (e.g., Logistics).
• Collaborate with the Region Transportation Manager to conduct interviews for potential candidates, provide operational training including regular assessments of drivers, and implement necessary disciplinary actions, up to and including termination.
• Conduct thorough inspections of trucks and trailers; report any mechanical deficiencies to the relevant personnel.
• Perform site evaluations for new customer locations and devise suitable route plans for each site.
• Facilitate quarterly safety training sessions for drivers in partnership with the Safety team.
• Diligently maintain electronic daily driver logs and all required delivery documentation, including bills of lading and other entries in the electronic data capture system for each shipment.
• Efficiently load, transport, and unload refined oil products at various terminals, refineries, and retail locations, including both Pilot Company and customer-owned sites.
