Role Summary

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise to our customers in the Bioprocessing & Pharmaceutical industry.

We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated individual to work closely with our sales team, building innovative solutions and providing support to our customers.

This position will primarily support customers East of the Mississippi River and is based in Massachusetts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the sales team in converting prospect clients by acting as the first point of contact for technical questions and advice.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to build quotations of industrial systems out of user requirements.
  • Provide product and software demonstrations to our customers and train the end-user on lab and industrial scale equipment.
  • Support our customers in troubleshooting in the field based on your product and application expertise.
  • Collaborate closely with the engineering teams to identify opportunities for product and service enhancements based on customer feedback and market trends.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to understand their unique needs and provide tailored solutions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, biotechnology, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in technical support, application engineering, or field service, preferably in the bioprocessing/biotechnology industry and/or the Food & Beverage industry.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and build rapport with customers.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing customer needs and resolving technical issues.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites as needed for field service and support activities (up to 50% of time annually).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong technical expertise in laboratory, pilot, and industrial equipment (bioreactors and fermenters), along with proficiency in relevant software applications.
  • Solid knowledge of applicable regulatory and quality Standards (CE/ UL/ GMP, FDA, ...)
  • Advanced degree in engineering, biotechnology, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Process analytical technologies
  • Familiar with PLC and HMI designs
  • Good project management skills
