Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Sales Representative to join our team at voestalpine Roll Forming Corporation. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and development by identifying new opportunities and building strong relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess current portfolio and new potential opportunities to drive business growth and development
  • Evaluate and investigate new/existing market trends to support strategic growth and new business opportunities
  • Research and analyze trends across the economy and existing/potential markets to maintain market knowledge
  • Develop and implement plans to improve marketability and technology opportunities
  • Interact with decision-makers to effectively communicate our capabilities and build strategic relationships with existing customers and new prospects
  • Maintain accurate and transparent documentation of sales efforts in CRM
  • Support or lead product launches, including business plan, market price, go-to-market strategy, and transition to fulfillment by internal teams
  • Collaborate with the team on development and formalizing plans for large category product launches
  • Coordinate internal sales activities for assigned customers to ensure customers' specific requirements are properly interpreted
  • Analyze data from internal systems to support decisions on new market development or product development
  • Provide and understand customer forecast order requirements for planning purposes
  • Communicate across departments and work with others to build consensus around concepts and ideas
  • Collaborate with voestalpine global colleagues regarding shared opportunities and best practices
  • Support and contribute to marketing programs, maintaining corporate compliance, effective marketing of the brand, and maintaining a positive customer image, which leads to generating new sales

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Sales/Marketing from a four-year college or university
  • Eager to learn and desire to grow in a professional B2B sales career
  • Self-starting individual who has demonstrated a strong work ethic while developing a mastery of something (sport, music, hobby, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Collaborative and able to work cross-functionally to achieve company goals
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to take complex problems and communicate at a technical level when needed
  • Highly proficient in Office software, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and ability to learn sales software tools
  • Experience in a workplace (could include part-time during school, internships, etc.)
  • Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing facility each day when not traveling to customers or tradeshows
  • May travel up to 40% of the time

Preferred Experience:

  • Project management tools and new product launch cycle
  • Metal manufacturing processes or industry
  • Internship or early career experience in engineering or sales/marketing, or customer service roles
