Job Description:

Becker Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Pharmacist to join our team at Moab Regional Hospital. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the efficient operation of our retail pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform day-to-day pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Manage inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and implement strategies to minimize waste and optimize inventory levels
  • Collaborate with suppliers and wholesalers to order medications, track deliveries, and maintain accurate transaction records
  • Accurately interpret and dispense prescription medications in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Conduct regular medication reviews, including drug-drug interaction checks, and appropriate duration of therapy
  • Provide personalized consultations to patients and patient's families regarding medication-related concerns, proper medication usage, potential side effects, relevant medication precautions, and recommendations for over-the-counter products
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues related to prescriptions, insurance, and medication concerns promptly and professionally
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes, ensuring comprehensive medication therapy management
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy
  • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in the State of Utah
  • Licensure to dispense controlled substances in the State of Utah
  • Excellent communication, human relation, and computer skills (proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other relevant pharmacy software)
  • Self-motivated, able to work both independently, and as part of a team
