Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oncology Advanced Practice Registered Nurse to join our team at Catholic Health Initiatives. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of our oncology services.

Responsibilities
  1. Assessment and Diagnosis
    Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients, considering their culture, age, and developmental level. Use research and knowledge to inform assessment techniques and initiate relevant diagnostic tests and procedures in conjunction with attending physicians.
  2. Development of Care Plans
    Derive and prioritize diagnoses using clinical reasoning, and individualize identified outcomes derived from assessment data and diagnoses. Communicate care interventions to physicians and nursing staff, and identify appropriate quality indicators to support patient care.
  3. Implementation and Evaluation
    Provide direct supervision of patients receiving treatments in an outpatient infusion care setting, and perform interventions and treatments within the scope of advanced practice registered nursing. Monitor the accuracy and completeness of patient care provided by other team members, and provide theory-based consultation to influence the plan of care and enhance the abilities of others.
  4. Commitment to Professional Role
    Assume a leadership role in establishing standards of practice and plan of care to improve patient care, and acquire and maintain knowledge and skills appropriate to oncology practice specialty. Utilize research to evaluate knowledge and develop creative approaches to care, and disseminate relevant research findings through practice, education, and/or consultation.
Qualifications

Required Education: MSN
Required Licensure and Certifications: Current Ky License as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
Preferred Certifications: OCN or AOCN
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 3-5 years of oncology experience, demonstrated ability in educational activities, clinical practice, and consultation, and considerable knowledge of computers/word processing and standard office equipment.

Pay Range: $79.32/hour
