Job Summary

Penn State Health is seeking a skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our team in Hershey, Pennsylvania. As an Anesthesia Technician, you will play a vital role in preparing instruments, equipment, and supplies for anesthetic procedures, assisting Anesthesiologists/CRNAs with invasive monitoring, and ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain aseptic equipment and supplies for anesthetic procedures.
  • Assist Anesthesiologists/CRNAs with the insertion of invasive monitoring devices, such as arterial lines, CVP, and ICP.
  • Transport and monitor high-risk patients during anesthetic procedures.
  • Collaborate with the anesthesia team to ensure efficient and safe patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of experience in patient care, medical equipment, or a related field.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 500 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand and walk 100% of the workday.
  • CPR certification and ACLS candidate preferred.
