Job Summary

St. John Fisher University is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Athletic Trainer to join our team. As a key member of our athletics department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch medical care and support to our student-athletes.

Responsibilities

* Provide medical care and rehabilitation services to injured athletes, adhering to NCAA, conference, and institutional guidelines and policies.
* Maintain positive and constructive working relationships with student-athletes, coaches, and staff, promoting a positive image of the athletics program at all times.
* Assist with administrative duties, including insurance coverage and communication with medical professionals.
* Work with work-study student employees and other support staff to ensure seamless operations.
* Serve as a liaison between the University Health Service and the athletics department.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred from a program accredited by the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA), the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHEP), or the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).
* Current New York State Athletic Trainer licensure or eligibility for licensure.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
* Knowledge of OSHA regulations and ability to maintain a safe working environment.

Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a well-lit, well-ventilated office and athletic training room, with opportunities to travel with teams and work in various weather conditions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and other related computer programs is required.
