The role of the Construction Quality Manager encompasses the oversight and coordination of all quality assurance activities within construction initiatives. This position is pivotal in ensuring adherence to contractual obligations, project specifications, and industry regulations, while performing audits and evaluating the quality of ongoing and finished work.
Core Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Safety Team to synchronize safety and quality initiatives.
- Guide the Operations Team in the execution and compliance of quality protocols.
- Establish and monitor annual quality objectives, assess trends, and resolve quality-related challenges.
- Formulate and enforce project-specific quality strategies, including Inspection and Testing Plans (ITPs).
- Oversee quality assessments, inspections, and the maintenance of quality documentation.
- Recognize and alleviate quality risks associated with construction activities.
- Deliver quality control training to field personnel and supervisors.
- Foster and sustain robust client relationships.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years in civil construction, with at least 3 years focused on quality control/assurance.
- Familiarity with construction regulations (MnDOT, ACI, AWS, etc.).
- Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
