The Los Angeles Country Club is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Manager Assistant to join our team. As a key member of the Housekeeping department, you will be responsible for assisting the Housekeeping Manager with the daily operations of the department, ensuring the seamless integration of all department policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Housekeeping Manager with hiring, training, and coaching staff to ensure optimum service to members.
- Monitor and handle guest complaints in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Manage Member Event & A la Carte Reservations, verifying event information, monitoring reservation confirmations, and overseeing Front Desk Attendants in confirming all reservations.
- Conduct inspections of all suites and public areas to ensure high standards of cleanliness and maintenance.
- Supervise Room Attendants to provide prompt and efficient housekeeping of guest rooms/suites.
- Help maintain quality of Suites by conducting and documenting inspections for cleanliness.
- Prepare maintenance work orders for replacement or repair of furniture, fixtures, etc.
- Complete projects as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager.
- Manage pickup and drop off of Dry Cleaning when needed.
- Review daily banquet event orders and function sheets to ensure that all setups are completed.
- Work closely with the linen company to ensure linen rental costs are aligned with operational needs.
- Oversee employee safety and proper care of furnishings in the movement of furniture.
- Minimum three years Housekeeping experience in a hospitality field.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English and Spanish.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate people.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
- Ability to manage staff, including assignment of duties and holding staff accountable.
- Walking and standing are required throughout the day.
- Must be able to lift up to 20lbs and push/pull up to 150lbs occasionally.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill cleaning/inspection tasks.
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability and visual acuity.
- All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per club standards.
- Professional business attire required.
