We are seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our team at the University of Montana's Campus Dining. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for the fiscal and personnel management of the Retail Kitchen, working closely with a team of culinary professionals and student employees to oversee food production and menu development for catering and retail operations.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the Retail Kitchen, including fiscal and personnel responsibilities
- Oversee food production and menu development for catering and retail operations
- Work closely with the Catering Manager and other team members to achieve departmental goals
- Develop and implement menu plans, ensuring high-quality and nutritious food options
- Manage inventory, supplies, and equipment, ensuring efficient use of resources
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and implement sustainable business practices
- 4-year degree in hospitality or foodservice management or a related field, plus 4 years of directly related experience, or a 2-year degree from an accredited culinary program, with 6 years of related food service, culinary, or management experience
- Management ServSafe certification, or the ability to obtain certification within 4 months of hire
- Valid Montana driver's license or the ability to obtain a license within 4 months of hire
