We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Specialist to join our team at Ascension St. John Medical Center. As a Patient Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide basic patient monitoring activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Remain at the bedside of assigned patients at all times unless relieved by an appropriate staff member.
- Assist in calming and/or reorienting patients in cases of agitation or confusion.
- Remove visible hazards and/or broken equipment from the immediate environment and report as appropriate.
- Record all observations.
- BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Certification specializing in Crisis Prevention preferred.
- Must be willing and able to 'float' to our sister facilities located in various locations.
- Once hired, you must be able to attend our mandatory 1-week onboarding class.
