Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and communicative Volunteer Coordinator to support our Parent Volunteer Program at Carver Elementary. This role will be responsible for coordinating parent volunteers, organizing special events, and publishing a volunteer newsletter.

Key Responsibilities
  • Parent Communication: Develop and maintain effective communication channels with parents, including electronic and written correspondence.
  • Volunteer Management: Organize and coordinate parent volunteers, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for all parties involved.
  • Event Planning: Assist in planning and executing special events, such as parent-teacher conferences and volunteer appreciation events.
  • Newsletter Publication: Create and publish a regular volunteer newsletter to keep parents informed about upcoming events and volunteer opportunities.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect with students, families, staff, and community members.
  • Organization Skills: Strong organization and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
