Pulmonary and Critical Care Specialist Position

University of Louisville Physicians (ULP) is actively seeking skilled Pulmonologists to join the team at UofL Health's latest community facility, UofL Health-South Hospital. This investment in the health of the local community includes a significant expansion of approximately 100,000 square feet, featuring a 10-bed Intensive Care Unit, 30 medical/surgical patient rooms, and plans for 20 additional patient rooms, alongside dedicated cardiopulmonary and respiratory therapy spaces.
The selected physician will engage in a variety of procedures, which encompass but are not limited to:
- Chest tube insertion and management
- Central venous catheter insertion and management
- Bronchoscopy with or without biopsy
- Paracentesis and thoracentesis
- Management of mechanical ventilation for both chronic and acute cases
- Percutaneous tracheostomy
- Tracheal intubation
- Administration of moderate sedation and analgesia
There may be a requirement for travel between UofL Health facilities within the metropolitan area.
