Job Title: Blaster/Painter
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Blaster/Painter to join our team at Swire Energy Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and coating surfaces to meet industry standards for durability and appearance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Surface Preparation:
- Operate steel shot blasting equipment to prepare surfaces for coating, ensuring compliance with SSPC standards.
- Evaluate surfaces before and after blasting to verify cleanliness and the correct surface profile.
- Coating Application:
- Apply coatings to a variety of surfaces, using equipment to achieve the required thickness and finish in accordance with job specifications.
- Monitor coating applications to ensure compliance with SSPC standards and job specifications.
- Equipment Operation and Maintenance:
- Set up, operate, and maintain blasting and painting equipment, including routine inspections and troubleshooting.
- Use and maintain tools such as hoses, nozzles, grinders, and sprayers to ensure equipment readiness and operational efficiency.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain compliance with legal and industry safety standards.
Requirements:
- Experience in blasting and painting, specifically with steel shot and coating applications.
- Knowledge of SSPC standards for surface preparation and coating.
- Proficiency in the use and maintenance of blasting and painting equipment.
- Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and adherence to protocols.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in a variety of environments.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License and a motor vehicle record that meets fleet insurance requirements.
- No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- Have a clean criminal history record.
