Job DescriptionPosition: Excavation Specialist - Pipeline Safety Professional

This role involves interacting with contractors and personnel onsite to ensure proper excavation practices are being followed and in adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of all aspects of excavation, including preparation for excavation, permits and notifications, the One Call system, excavation responsibilities and dangers, tools and equipment, sloping requirements, soil types, protecting pipe during excavation, measuring pipe clearance, tolerance zones, pipeline locating and marking, OSHA regulations for excavation, and inspecting pipe for damages.

Essential Qualifications, Duties, and Responsibilities

• The ideal candidate must have a deep understanding of excavation practices, including preparation for excavation, permits and notifications, the One Call system, excavation responsibilities and dangers, tools and equipment, sloping requirements, soil types, protecting pipe during excavation, measuring pipe clearance, tolerance zones, pipeline locating and marking, OSHA regulations for excavation, and inspecting pipe for damages.
• The employee must regularly lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Benefits and Requirements

This position requires the candidate to be willing to comply with PCM Health, Safety, and Environmental rules and regulations. The employee must also comply with all governmental regulations. The position is full-time, with a work schedule to be determined. The estimated salary for this role is between $70,000 and $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
