Job Summary

As a Medical Laboratory Technician at Milbank Area Hospital Avera, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of test results for our patients. Your expertise in various laboratory testing areas, including chemistry, hematology, coagulation, bacteriology, serology, and body fluids, will be essential in providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform moderate and high complexity laboratory testing per CLIA'88 regulations.
  • Provide accurate and timely test results to ensure the best care for our patients.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school as an MLT or CLT required.
  • Six months to one year related experience and/or training preferred.
  • NCA or ASCP certification is preferred, but not required.

Work Schedule

  • PRN; work as needed to cover a variety of shifts on weekdays and weekends.
  • Weekday Schedule includes: 6am - 2:30 pm; 6:30 am - 3pm, 7am - 3:30 pm, 8am -5pm, and 9am - 5:30 pm; assist with weekday call from 6pm to 6am.
  • Weekend Schedule: 7am - 3pm and weekend call from 3pm - 7am.

Compensation

  • The hourly range for this position is $31.75 per hour.
