About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Milbank Area Hospital Avera. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and timely test results to ensure the best care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform various testing in the area of chemistry, hematology, coagulation, bacteriology, serology, and body fluids.
  • Provide direct patient care and ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to achieve our mission of Moving Health Forward.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school as an MLT or CLT required.
  • Six months to one year related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Required to perform moderate and high complexity laboratory testing per CLIA'88 regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NCA or ASCP certification is preferred, but not required.

Work Schedule

  • PRN; work as needed to cover a variety of shifts on weekdays and weekends.
  • Weekday Schedule includes: 6am - 2:30 pm; 6:30 am - 3pm, 7am - 3:30 pm, 8am -5pm, and 9am - 5:30 pm; assist with weekday call from 6pm to 6am.
  • Weekend Schedule: 7am - 3pm and weekend call from 3pm - 7am.

Compensation

The hourly range for this position is $31.75 per hour, with actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
