Position Overview:
We are seeking a Front Desk Agent/PBX Operator to become a vital part of our outstanding guest service team. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 6 months of experience in a front desk role within a luxury hotel environment and be adept in utilizing the OnQ property management system. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a warm and inviting arrival experience for guests, ensuring they feel a sense of luxury and comfort from the moment they step in.
  • Efficiently manage the check-in and check-out processes, including payment handling and accurate use of the OnQ system.
  • Address guest inquiries, requests, and special arrangements with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Promote and upsell hotel services, amenities, and packages to enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area to uphold our luxury standards.
  • Collaborate with various hotel departments to meet guest needs and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of the hotel's facilities, services, and local attractions.
  • Ensure security and privacy standards are upheld to guarantee guest safety and confidentiality.
  • Foster a friendly, professional, and luxury-oriented atmosphere for all guests.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • At least 6 months of front desk experience in a luxury hotel setting.
  • Proficient in the OnQ property management system.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Impeccable grooming and professional appearance.
  • Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality or a related field is preferred.
  • Certification in hotel front desk operations is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to read written communications and operate a monochrome computer screen.
  • Proficient in using computers, calculators, and telephone systems for cash handling and paperwork.
  • Capable of following verbal and written instructions and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • 90% of the shift involves standing; bending and kneeling are required for filing.
  • Must be able to navigate all areas of the hotel to assist guests.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of files and office items up to 25 lbs.

Work Environment:
The role involves prolonged standing at an indoor, climate-controlled workstation under fluorescent lighting.
