Key Responsibilities:

  • Security Post Management: Perform security screenings at lobby and garage posts, and conduct regular security patrols to ensure the safety of our facilities.
  • Crisis Response: Serve as a crisis response specialist, providing support in emergency situations, including evacuations and crowd management.
  • Security Monitoring: Monitor security systems and respond to any security breaches or incidents.
  • Special Event Security: Provide security support for special events, including crowd control, screening, and observation.
  • Inspections and Risk Assessments: Conduct regular building and grounds security inspections, and perform risk assessments to identify potential security threats.
  • Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training related to security and safety procedures, and provide support to the Director of Security in developing and implementing security policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Guard Card: Must provide current Guard Card.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to walk throughout the facility, including stairways, for up to 3 hours at a time, and stand at security post for up to three hours.
  • Emergency Response: Ability to move quickly in response to emergencies, and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Weather Conditions: Capable of working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Security Knowledge: Knowledge of security practices and ability to make good decisions under pressure.
  • Communication Skills: Good oral and written communication skills, and a positive attitude and a good team player.
  • Schedule: Flexible schedule including weekends, early mornings, and late evenings.

On-Call Position: This is an on-call position, and shifts may include daytime, evening, and weekend hours.
