Job Summary

The Assembler will utilize hand tools to construct prepared metal into a screen frame according to the Manufacturing Order.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize various hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • May utilize a staking machine or other pneumatic equipment according to customer specifications and requirements.
  • Report concerns regarding production and product inconsistencies.
  • Maintain tools, parts, and supplies; contact materials handler if supplies are needed.
  • Periodically check products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolve any identified problems and alert supervisor.
  • Maintain flow of material and product between stages of production.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Ability to work with others collaboratively.
  • Strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to read and understand work orders.
  • Detail-oriented and consistent.
  • Works well as a productive member of a team.
  • Ability to properly maintain equipment and general housekeeping standards.
  • Basic ability in mathematics, reading and effectively using a measuring tape.
Physical Demands
  • Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
  • May be required to lift up to 10 pounds at a time.
  • Must have manual dexterity in order to assemble products or use machines as directed.
  • Reach with hands at arms' length and use hands to finger, handle or feel.
  • Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Specific vision abilities require color vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must wear hearing, eye and finger protection as required.
