Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Foster Parent Support and Recruitment Coordinator. This role is critical to our mission of recruiting and supporting foster parents throughout Delaware.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract diverse foster families, including attending community events and facilitating orientation sessions.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with community partners, including faith-based organizations and hospitals, to promote foster care services.
  • Design and execute social media recruitment campaigns, create promotional materials, and assist with advertising initiatives to reach a wider audience.
  • Coordinate and facilitate foster parent support groups, ensuring that sessions are tailored to the needs of participants and provide ongoing support to prospective and current foster parents.
  • Collaborate with the Department of Family Services to monitor and report on recruitment activities and outcomes, and participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with best practices in foster care recruitment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Ability to work with youth and families in a community setting, including facilitating groups and developing curriculum based on group feedback and needs.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, and ability to create effective relationships with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and lifestyles.
  • Good computer skills, including experience with Canva or similar platforms, and ability to manage deadlines effectively.
  • Flexible schedule with availability for some evening and weekend work, and valid driver's license, reliable access to a vehicle, and ability to travel regularly.
