Flagship Facility Services, Inc. is in search of a Facility Operations Engineer with a strong background in Greenhouse Management to become a vital part of our innovative team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of environmental control systems and will be responsible for the upkeep of greenhouse facilities, including the installation, maintenance, and repair of specialized equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct general facility maintenance autonomously.
- Assist in the upkeep and repair of various pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, as well as electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Operate and manage ARGUS and PRIVA control systems effectively.
- Replace lighting and ballasts as needed.
- Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues efficiently.
- Facilitate furniture and equipment relocations.
- Perform HVAC repairs and manage Greenhouse Operations and Systems.
- Support the installation and modification of building equipment systems.
- Evaluate maintenance operations and propose upgrades or cost-saving measures.
- Demonstrate proficient knowledge in the use and maintenance of tools and equipment utilized in facility management.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and address customer concerns.
- Inspect electrical distribution systems to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Assist in the operation and maintenance of life safety and fire systems.
- Adhere to safe work practices consistently.
- Comply with all relevant codes, regulations, and company directives related to facility operations.
- Plan and execute work requiring a thorough understanding of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles, as well as local and national electrical codes.
Qualifications:
- Technical training or equivalent experience in electrical and HVAC systems.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience with HVAC systems is highly desirable.
- Background checks will be conducted.
- Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
- Familiarity with tools, materials, and supplies used in maintenance tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Effective communication skills.
- May be the sole maintenance staff member on duty during specific shifts and may need to work extended hours in emergency situations.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3-10 years of experience in commercial facility maintenance.
- Knowledge of ARGUS and PRIVA Control Systems is preferred.
Work Environment:
- Varied work settings from small to large facilities.
- Personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and shoes may be required.
- Fast-paced work environment with moderate noise levels.
- Exposure to typical office and workshop conditions.
- Regular exposure to dust, odors, and other environmental factors.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Capability to safely use ladders and perform tasks at heights.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision and depth perception.
