About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and compassionate Physiatrist to join our team. As a Physiatrist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients with a wide range of physical impairments, focusing on rehabilitation, pain management, and improving overall function.
The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background in non-surgical treatment options, including injections, electrodiagnostic testing, and therapeutic exercises. You will also possess excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering patient-centered care.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and Manage Physical Disabilities: Diagnose and manage a wide range of physical disabilities and conditions, including musculoskeletal issues, chronic pain, and neurological disorders.
- Develop Individualized Treatment Plans: Develop individualized treatment plans that may include physical therapy, therapeutic exercises, medications, and non-surgical interventions.
- Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Perform Procedures: Perform procedures such as injections, electrodiagnostic testing, and other therapeutic interventions.
- Monitor Patient Progress: Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Educate Patients and Families: Educate patients and families about their conditions and the rehabilitation process.
- Medical Degree: Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Board Certification/Eligibility: Board certified or board eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R).
- State Medical License: Must hold or be eligible to obtain an active medical license in the state of practice.
- Residency Training: Successful completion of an accredited residency program in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
- DEA Certification: Possession of a valid DEA registration or the ability to obtain one.
- Experience in Physiatry: Experience in a physiatry setting, with a focus on rehabilitation, pain management, or musculoskeletal care.
- Clinical Skills: Strong clinical skills in non-surgical treatment options, such as injections, electrodiagnostic testing, and therapeutic exercises.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering patient-centered care.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Competitive Salary: A competitive salary ranging from $250,000 to $300,000 per year, depending on experience.
