About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Campus Project Manager to join our team at the Better Business Bureau Serving the Heart of Texas. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing space and facility improvement projects, ensuring efficient facility management, property space management, and driving cross-functional initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning & Operations Management: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders, and execute tasks to ensure progress.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with departments to ensure alignment on operational goals, collaborate with other project managers on IT-related support, and partner with internal teams to support customer experience initiatives.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process efficiencies within both project management and facility operations, lead initiatives to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance productivity across departments.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Identify potential project, operations, and facility-related risks and develop risk mitigation strategies, troubleshoot challenges related to project delivery and facility management, and escalate critical issues to senior leadership when necessary.
  • Budgeting & Resource Allocation: Monitor project budgets and resources to ensure projects remain financially on track, oversee facility-related expenditures, and manage both internal and external resources to support operational goals and projects.
  • Performance Reporting & Metrics: Track project performance, analyze data, and provide regular updates to leadership on key performance indicators (KPIs), compile and present data-driven reports on facilities, equipment, and project outcomes, and use insights from performance metrics to recommend improvements in project delivery and facility management.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead and motivate teams to achieve high performance in both project and facilities operations, provide coaching, mentor, and support team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability, and offer guidance and mentorship on best practices in project management, facilities management, and critical thinking.
Requirements
  • Project Management: Hands-on experience defining project scope, goals, and deliverables while managing operational tasks, proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project or similar platforms, and ability to balance multiple projects, ensuring that objectives and deadlines are met.
  • Operations & Facilities Management: Experience managing operations, including space utilization, event setup, and facility maintenance, ability to coordinate with external vendors and contractors, ensuring adherence to safety standards and operational requirements, and familiarity with facility management systems for monitoring space usage and operational efficiency.
  • Budgeting & Resource Allocation: Strong financial management skills, experience in tracking and managing project budgets to ensure financial responsibility, and ability to oversee facility-related expenditures, ensuring that resources are allocated cost-effectively to meet operational and project goals.
  • Process Improvement: Ability to identify areas where operational efficiencies can be improved and lead initiatives to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and enhance overall productivity.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, ability to identify and mitigate project delivery risks and facility management risks, and ability to address challenges independently and escalate issues to senior leadership when necessary to ensure smooth project progression.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Directing and motivating teams is crucial for this role, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability to achieve high performance in both operational and project environments, and strong interpersonal and communication skills to work cross-functionally with internal departments and ensure alignment of operational goals.
  • Performance Reporting & Metrics: Proficiency in tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing data, and compiling reports on project outcomes and facility operations, and ability to leverage data-driven insights to recommend and implement improvements, ensuring optimization of operations and project delivery.
  • Flexibility & Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to dynamic operational needs, with a proactive approach to identifying solutions and making necessary adjustments, and preparedness to provide on-call support after-hours and weekends for emergency facility issues, including fire safety and security alarms.
