As a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, you will perform laboratory tests across various specialty departments, including Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Blood Bank, Serology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Microbiology. Your role is vital in providing data essential for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct complex analyses of microscopic, immunologic, biologic, bacteriologic, hematologic, and chemical tests.
- Manage specimen receiving and inventory of supplies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve instrument issues, documenting corrective actions.
- Ensure quality control measures are performed and logged appropriately.
- Train new employees and students in laboratory procedures.
- Participate in phlebotomy and accession responsibilities.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Sciences, or a related field is required. Candidates must be MT registry eligible, with successful completion of the MT registry within six months of eligibility or hire. ASCP certification or equivalent is preferred.
