Project Superintendent Job Description

At Wide Effect Talent Solutions, we are seeking a highly skilled Project Superintendent to oversee the progress of our construction projects. This role requires strong technical and communication skills, as well as proficiency in all areas of construction, including methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead field supervisors and workers on construction projects, including roadways, dams, highways, and pipelines, with project values ranging from $5M to $50M.
  • Interpret and enforce safety policies, plans, specifications, and local codes to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Schedule inspections, quality testing, and compliance documentation to meet project requirements.
  • Manage materials, inspections, and manpower to meet project schedules and deadlines.
  • Conduct daily reports, maintain project schedules, and inspect ongoing work to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Direct subcontractors and personnel to ensure project timelines are met and goals are achieved.
  • Perform employee reviews, resolve grievances, and attend superintendent meetings to maintain a positive work environment.
  • Complete 10+ hours of construction management training annually to stay up-to-date with industry developments.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in civil construction, heavy equipment, and utility/urban reconstruction.
  • Experience with concrete work, reading blueprints, scheduling, field supervision, safety, quality control, and budgeting.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Flexibility to work alternate schedules, valid driver's license, and ability to pass background checks.
