Job Description
As a Certified Nursing Assistant at Barren County Nursing and Rehabilitation, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care to our residents. Key responsibilities include:
• Attending to the individual needs of residents, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.
• Taking and recording patient vital signs, lifting, moving, and transporting residents using proper body mechanics.
• Recognizing and reporting changes in resident conditions to nurse management, asking appropriate questions to clarify situations.
• Communicating effectively and tactfully with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.
• Reporting abnormal changes or patterns to nursing staff.
• Assisting nurses with various duties as directed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
• At least one year of experience as a CNA in a Long Term Care setting (highly preferred).
• A graduate degree from an accredited Certified Nursing Aide Assistant program.
• Current state certification as a CNA.
• Knowledge of MatrixCare (preferred).
