Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network. As a key member of our behavioral health team, you will provide high-quality patient care and services to individuals with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including psychiatric evaluations, re-evaluations, dispositions, and coordination of medical services.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication orders and monitoring patients.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of patient care and support staff within the clinic.
  • Provide health education to patients, families, and community health practitioners.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to continuously improve productivity, efficiency, recovery outcomes, and medical care.
  • Ensure appropriate responses to all medical emergencies.
Requirements
  • A Master's Degree (MSN) in Psychiatric-Mental Health (PMH) Nursing or other MSN with additional coursework for eligibility for PMH Board Certification.
  • Two (2) years of professional clinical experience in a behavioral healthcare or mental health setting.
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse and certified from MI State Board of Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner and ANA/ANCC Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
  • A valid State of Michigan Driver's License with a safe and acceptable driving record.
Working Conditions

Work is usually performed at the Crisis Care Center but may require the employee to drive to different sites throughout Wayne County and the State of Michigan.
