Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) is a leading global financial institution with a rich history and a strong presence in the Americas. We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines for our financial business applications. This includes leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure repeatable infrastructure provisioning and system-wide redundancy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to meet the needs of our applications
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure repeatable infrastructure provisioning and system-wide redundancy
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and implement necessary modifications to ensure the stability and performance of the cloud environment
  • Collaborate with the application team and other stakeholders to understand their requirements and needs for the cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipeline
  • Work closely with support and other technical teams to resolve infrastructure and deployment-related issues that impact application behavior and performance

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure engineering
  • Demonstrate knowledge of cloud platforms, networks, security, data management, and deployment tools required to design and operate cloud infrastructure and build and manage CI/CD pipelines
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Bash, etc. and the ability to code automated scripts and infrastructure configurations
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and other development methodologies

What We Offer:

SMBC offers a competitive salary range of $85,000.00 to $170,000.00 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a comprehensive portfolio of benefits to its employees.
