  • The Senior Product Planner is tasked with conducting comprehensive analyses of the automotive market to accurately reflect customer needs in decisions regarding vehicle specifications, model assortment, pricing strategies, and lifecycle management. They embody the customer’s voice and facilitate consensus within AHM during vehicle development initiatives, ensuring the competitiveness required to meet sales targets and achieve profitability. Additionally, they spearhead product launch efforts in collaboration with the AHM Sales Promotion team, aligning with the overarching goals of the product.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • A bachelor’s degree is essential, preferably in business, marketing, or an engineering-related discipline.
  • An MBA is highly desirable.
  • The ideal candidate should possess 5 to 10+ years of experience in the automotive sector, particularly in sales, marketing, or technical roles.
  • Experience in product planning or market research is an advantage.
  • A strong passion for and understanding of the automotive industry, including its brands, products, and technologies, along with excellent skills in planning, negotiation, analysis, and presentation.
  • Familiarity with automotive development processes (R&D and Manufacturing) is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, is required.
  • Knowledge of planning and research software tools, such as MTAB, is preferred but can be acquired on the job.
  • Strong presentation skills and confidence in engaging with all levels of management and executives.
  • A valid driver's license is required, with the ability to operate a diverse range of vehicles. Proficiency in manual transmission is a plus but not mandatory.

Work Environment

  • Regular walking throughout the office and campus, often with back-to-back meetings.
  • Occasional work outside standard business hours, particularly for meetings across different time zones.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% for both domestic and international engagements.
