About MRG Exams West
MRG Exams West, a leading independent medical examination service provider, is seeking a qualified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Provider to conduct medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
The ideal candidate will have a current license as a Physiatrist and be Board Certified in either Neurological Surgery, PM&R or Psychiatry and Neurology. We offer a fixed daily rate of $1300+ per day, and travel expenses are borne by MRG Exams.
Job Description
This role involves reviewing medical health records through a secure Web Portal and performing comprehensive assessments on each veteran. The selected individual will also complete Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQs) through the Web Portal, documenting exam findings needed by the VA.
Please note that this position does not involve making disability determinations, as those decisions are made by the VA. It is an independent medical assessment role, requiring attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and proficiency in finding key data points within large electronic medical records.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A current license as a Physiatrist
- Board Certification in either Neurological Surgery, PM&R or Psychiatry and Neurology
- Excellent analytical and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
