About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular ICU team at The Baylor Heart Hospital Denton. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and collaborating with colleagues to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments and create individualized care plans to address patient needs.
  • Prioritize patient and family needs, delegate tasks effectively, and follow up promptly to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues to foster a culture of respect and open communication.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical knowledge and procedures to provide evidence-based care and make informed decisions.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to create a care plan that addresses the unique needs of each patient.
Requirements
  • Minimum one year of recent, full-time bedside Cardiovascular ICU/CVICU or Cardiovascular PCU experience.
  • Strong understanding of nursing and patient care standards, as well as procedures.
  • Proficiency in medical terms, focusing on health, disease prevention, management, common medications, and their side effects.
  • Exceptional communication skills, allowing for clear expression of thoughts both verbally and in writing.
