Position Overview:

The Senior Financial Analyst role is essential for overseeing the financial operations within the organization. This position requires a security clearance and is focused on ensuring the integrity of financial reporting and compliance with established accounting standards.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee financial reporting for various contract types, including multi-million dollar government contracts.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support project managers and task leads in subcontractor management.
  • Identify and address financial issues related to contracts and assist in risk management strategies.
  • Plan, monitor, and reconcile monthly expenditures, ensuring accurate billing and time tracking using advanced tools.
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly financial reports, including Contract Funding Status Reports, to assess expenditure rates and funding forecasts.
  • Support ad-hoc reporting and participate in quarterly reviews and contract close-out processes.
  • Provide historical financial data for new bids and proposals.
  • Oversee subcontractor accruals and ensure accurate invoicing and payment processes.

Financial Management:

Ensure timely collection of accounts receivable and assist with payroll processing. Maintain an organized accounting filing system and a robust system of internal controls over financial transactions.


Reporting Duties:
  • Prepare and issue comprehensive financial statements.
  • Coordinate the annual corporate report preparation.
  • Calculate and communicate financial metrics and variances from budgeted figures.
  • Manage the annual budget and forecasting processes.
  • Provide financial analyses for capital investments and contract negotiations.

Compliance and Oversight:

Facilitate the provision of information to external auditors for annual audits and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements.


Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration, coupled with over 10 years of relevant experience in a major corporation. Proficiency in Deltek Costpoint and Microsoft Excel is highly desirable. Candidates with CPA or CMA certifications will be given preference. A security clearance is advantageous.


Work Environment:

This position is primarily office-based, focusing on collaboration and strategic financial management.
