Job Title: Speech Pathologist

Role Overview

The Speech Pathologist will be responsible for providing support to students with communication difficulties in primary and secondary school settings. This will involve working with teachers, education support staff, and parents to develop and implement strategies to support student communication needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement evidence-based practice approaches and techniques to support student communication development.
  • Provide professional development opportunities to teachers and education support staff on communication support strategies.
  • Collaborate with teachers and education support staff to develop and implement individualized communication plans for students.
  • Provide assessment and analysis of student communication needs and develop strategies to support student communication development.
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents to ensure that student communication needs are met.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in speech pathology or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, education support staff, and parents.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practice approaches and techniques in speech pathology.
  • Ability to provide professional development opportunities to teachers and education support staff.

Working Conditions
