Key Responsibilities:
- Exhibit a strong professional work ethic, including punctuality, teamwork, and cooperation.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor towards colleagues and students.
- Facilitate effective student learning through quality instruction and assessment of student performance.
- Design and prepare course materials, including curriculum, handouts, lectures, and lab exercises prior to class sessions.
- Collaborate with faculty and administration to develop and refine program curriculum and standards.
- Organize classroom and laboratory instruction with clear course outlines, learning objectives, and assessment methods.
- Accurately maintain and submit student grades and attendance records in accordance with established deadlines.
- Be accessible to students for support and guidance, clearly communicating availability through course materials.
- Monitor and report on student progress within the program, including attendance and completion rates.
- Stay updated in the field of electrical maintenance through professional development and continuing education.
- Participate in departmental meetings and activities as required.
- Assist in mentoring and orienting new instructors.
- Comply with all regulations regarding student record confidentiality.
- Adhere to institutional policies and procedures.
- Engage with advisory committees to ensure current industry practices are integrated into the curriculum.
- Maintain a safe and conducive learning environment in classrooms and labs.
- Ensure all instructional equipment meets safety standards and request necessary supplies in a timely manner.
- Travel for instructional purposes as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma.
- Five years of relevant experience in the electrical field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree or higher in the electrical field.
Note: A pre-employment criminal background check is required for this position.
