Job Summary

Entergy is seeking a skilled Relay Technician to join our team. As a Relay Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and testing of electrical relay systems in our substations and generating stations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and test electrical relay systems to ensure reliable operation and minimize downtime.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating relay components, to prevent wear and tear.
  • Test and calibrate relay systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and meet industry standards.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues with relay systems, and implement repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Collaborate with other teams, such as electrical and mechanical, to ensure seamless integration of relay systems with other equipment.
  • Develop and implement procedures for relay system maintenance and testing to ensure consistency and efficiency.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in electrical or computer technology preferred.
  • Minimum 0-2 years of experience in electrical relay maintenance and testing; 2-4 years of experience with associate's degree.
  • Successful completion of EEI TECH test required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Class D Driver's License (CDL).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
Working Conditions

As a Relay Technician, you will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and changing priorities. You will be required to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in extreme weather conditions. You will also be required to travel to various locations, including substations and generating stations, to perform maintenance and testing tasks.
