Hattie Larlham is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Part-Time Transport Nurse (LPN) for Community Integration who is passionate about enhancing the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The Community Integration LPN is responsible for monitoring, documenting, and delivering health care services to individuals at the Hattie Larlham Center for Children with Disabilities. This role is integral to the Life Enrichment program and involves participating in scheduled community events, supporting activities at the Center-based Capstone School, and providing nursing care within the Center.
Position Details:
- Role: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Community Integration
- Schedule: Part-time, primarily 1st shift, with potential evening or weekend hours as needed.
- Location: Hattie Larlham Center for Children with Disabilities, a long-term care facility serving individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide flexible working hours that support a healthy work/life balance.
- Deliver independent care to both adults and children with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
- Administer prescribed medications.
- Care for individuals who are ventilator-dependent.
- Accompany individuals on community outings, including trips to shopping centers, cinemas, and zoos.
- Collaborate as a vital member of a skilled nursing team.

Qualifications:
- Current Ohio or multistate Licensed Practical Nursing licensure is required.
- A minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience is essential.
- At least two (2) years of experience with ventilator care is necessary.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
- A valid Ohio driver's license is required.
- Availability for part-time work, including day and evening shifts, totaling 24 hours per week, with occasional weekend duties.
