Job Summary

SouthCoast Health is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at the Eisenhower location. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect blood and other specimens from patients in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Process and label specimens for testing, ensuring accurate and timely results.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and laboratory staff to ensure seamless testing and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs, including patient information, test results, and quality control data.
  • Perform daily maintenance and quality control checks on laboratory equipment.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to resolve any issues or concerns related to testing or specimen handling.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or vocational training in phlebotomy preferred.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience as a Phlebotomist; licensure, registry, or certification (ASCP or equivalent) a plus.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification.
