Job Summary:

As a Pharmacy Technician at Raleigh General Hospital, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day operation of our medication distribution programs. Your responsibilities will include assisting pharmacists with various tasks, making pick-up and delivery rounds to nursing units, and preparing and delivering IV admixtures under their supervision. You will also be responsible for maintaining floor stock, prepacking medication in unit dose containers, and assisting with patient charging, ordering, and inventory. Additionally, you will contribute to Quality Assurance and Drug Use Evaluation activities. Responsibilities:

* Assist pharmacists with medication distribution programs and support activities
* Make regular pick-up and delivery rounds to nursing units and other departments
* Fill medication orders under the supervision of a pharmacist
* Prepare and deliver IV admixtures under the supervision of a pharmacist
* Maintain floor stock as assigned
* Prepack medication in unit dose containers under the supervision of a pharmacist
* Assist with patient charging, ordering, and inventory
* Contribute to Quality Assurance and Drug Use Evaluation activities

Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision
* Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
* West Virginia State licensed Pharmacy Technician or Trainee license required
* Previous experience in pharmacy or another medically related field preferred
