About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Licensing and Recruitment Specialist to join our team at Children's Place Association. As a key member of our Foster Care department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the recruitment, licensing, and monitoring of foster parents and foster homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment and Licensing: Develop and implement effective strategies to recruit prospective foster parents and guide them through the licensure process. Ensure all required paperwork is completed and maintain accurate records.
  • Monitoring and Compliance: Conduct regular monitoring visits to licensed foster homes to ensure compliance with DCFS licensing standards. Initiate investigations when necessary and maintain accurate records.
  • Liaison and Communication: Serve as a liaison between our agency and the DCFS Licensing Department. Ensure clear and effective communication with foster parents, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Training and Development: Facilitate and track licensing training for foster parents and staff. Coordinate and track other foster care trainings as needed to ensure compliance with licensing requirements.
  • Retention and Support: Maintain regular contact with foster parents to ensure their needs are met and concerns are addressed. Convene and facilitate licensing staffings as needed.
  • Reporting and Statistics: Track and report necessary licensing statistics, including licensed foster homes, pending applications, and utilization rates.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field from an accredited school. Master's degree preferred.
  • Credentials: Licensed Social Worker (LSW) credential preferred. Child Welfare License (CWL) through DCFS required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience working with children and families in the field of child welfare.
  • Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook required.
