Cenergistic Energy Specialist Job Description

Cenergistic is seeking a highly skilled Energy Specialist to join our team. As the face of our energy conservation program, you will be responsible for developing and driving the organization's energy conservation efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify energy consumption patterns and make recommendations to Client leadership for energy conservation measures.
  2. Utilize advanced technology to analyze energy consumption data and provide insights for improvement.
  3. Conduct on-site audits to assess energy efficiency opportunities.
  4. Manage and maintain utility consumption data to ensure accurate savings measurements.
  5. Collaborate with Client's Program Liaison to report on energy program status and progress.
  6. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to promote energy management program successes.
  7. Provide quarterly reports to the Board or Governing body on energy program status and success.
  8. Cultivate open communication with Client leadership, facilities, maintenance, and custodial staff.
  9. Report safety hazards and coordinate repairs of energy management systems.
  10. Effectively communicate with Client staff to address comfort issues.
  11. Represent Cenergistic in a professional manner to the Organization.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 2-3 years' work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Demonstrate analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Ability to exercise good judgment in implementation of policy.
  5. Ability to promote Client involvement and engagement to implement change.
  6. Ability to conduct presentations in large and small groups.
  7. Demonstrate ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and concurrent projects.
  8. Proficiency in technology and personal computer operations, including Microsoft Office products and smartphone applications.
  9. Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  10. Valid driver's license and ability to drive to client locations.

Work Environment:

The Energy Specialist will work in a variety of settings, including office and field environments. The position requires occasional exposure to outside weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, and moderate to loud noise levels.

Physical Demands:

The Energy Specialist will be required to stand, walk, use hands to operate objects, and reach with hands and arms. The position requires occasional lifting or moving of objects up to 10 pounds.
