Cenergistic Energy Specialist Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Energy Specialist to join our team at Cenergistic. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing energy conservation programs, analyzing data, and providing recommendations to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Energy Consumption Analysis: Identify energy consumption patterns, analyze data, and provide recommendations to clients on energy conservation measures.
  2. Technology Utilization: Leverage the latest technology to monitor and manage energy consumption, including utility usage and energy management systems (EMS) data.
  3. On-Site Audits: Conduct on-site audits to identify energy-saving opportunities and provide recommendations to clients.
  4. Utility Data Management: Manage and maintain all utility consumption data, ensuring accurate savings measurements.
  5. Client Communication: Meet with clients regularly to report on energy program status and provide updates on energy-saving initiatives.
  6. Public Relations: Coordinate with internal and external public relations groups to promote client energy management program successes.
  7. Reporting: Provide quarterly reports to the Board or governing body on energy program status and success.
  8. Communication: Maintain open communication with client leadership, facilities, maintenance, and custodial staff.
  9. Safety Reporting: Report any safety hazards observed to the Program Liaison.
  10. EMS Coordination: Coordinate with the maintenance director regarding repairs of energy management systems (EMS).
  11. Client Communication: Effectively communicate with client staff to address any comfort issues.
  12. Performance Reporting: Complete timely reports comparing performance to the implementation plan.
  13. Professional Representation: Represent Cenergistic in a professional manner to clients.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
  2. Experience: 2-3 years of work experience, or 6 years of experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  3. Skills: Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with above-average written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, and experience with technology and personal computer operations.
  5. Commitment: Commit to irregular hours, including nights, weekends, early mornings, holidays, and summer.
  6. Driver's License: Maintain a valid driver's license and ability to drive to client locations.

Work Environment: The employee will occasionally work in outside weather conditions, near moving mechanical parts, in high, precarious places, and be occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in the office and moderate to loud in the field.

Physical Demands: The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk, or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move objects up to 10 pounds.
