Manufacturing Technology Advancement Manager

TES Recruiting Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Technology Advancement Manager to join our team in Pennsylvania/New Jersey.
About the Role:
This role involves leading the development of manufacturing technologies and processes to improve quality and productivity across the supply base. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on process improvement and technology enhancement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with regional supplier quality assurance teams to identify suppliers requiring development.
- Analyze supplier health, risk, and delivery metrics to determine improvement opportunities.
- Develop and support manufacturing process improvements, inspection techniques, and quality management systems.
- Use effort-impact-cost matrices to prioritize development opportunities.
- Work with suppliers and engineering teams to conceptualize, test, and implement technological advancements.
- Engage in product development and supplier qualification processes to evaluate suppliers' technological capabilities.
- Research industry best practices and emerging technology trends.
- Participate in the supplier corrective action process.
- Establish and monitor key process indicators to gauge the success of development initiatives.
- Support suppliers during the introduction and qualification of new components.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in manufacturing engineering with a proven record in technology enhancement.
- Proficiency in manufacturing engineering principles and techniques.
- Skilled in 3D modeling and 2D drafting (SolidWorks or similar software).
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to travel up to 50%, often on short notice.
Compensation:
$140,000 - $170,000 per year, depending on experience.
