Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fitness Program Manager to join our team at The Glen Retirement System. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the lives of our residents by promoting physical activity and overall well-being.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing fitness programs that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of our residents. With a focus on creating a supportive and inclusive environment, our ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

The Glen Retirement System is a fully functional Life Plan Community that has been serving seniors for over 125 years. We are committed to providing exceptional care and services to our residents, including a wide range of recreational activities, social events, and wellness programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement fitness programs that meet the diverse needs and abilities of our residents.
  • Collaborate with our Resident Engagement Coordinator to develop and implement life engagement programs that promote physical and cognitive well-being.
  • Recruit and train contract instructors to lead classes and provide one-on-one training sessions.
  • Assess resident's abilities and develop personalized fitness plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident participation and program effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Physical Education, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in fitness management or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
