Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Lead Machinist Technician to join our Engineering Prototyping & Fabrication Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing prototype machining services in a developmental environment, working with customers to solve medium to complex machining and assembly problems, and collaborating with a diverse group of engineers and technicians to provide best-in-class solutions to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide prototype machining services in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Work with customers to solve medium to complex machining and assembly problems.

Requirements
  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post-high school training) with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience interpreting mechanical blueprints and/or technical drawings.
  • Experience with manual machining equipment.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a mechanical machine shop environment using CNC equipment.
  • Experience with CNC programming, setup, and operation on both Mill and Lathe.
  • Knowledgeable in the setup/operation of manual CMM's.
  • Basic experience in the development and manipulation of computer-generated 3D models in Creo, or similar CAD system.
  • CAM Software: Mastercam or equivalent.
  • Competent computer skills – Windows, MS Office products.

  • A competitive salary range of $48,000 - $116,000.
