Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Lead Machinist Technician to join our Engineering Prototyping & Fabrication Department at Raytheon Careers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing prototype machining services in a developmental environment, working with customers to solve complex machining and assembly problems, and collaborating with a diverse group of people and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide prototype machining services in a developmental environment with quick turnaround solutions for various programs.
  • Work with customers to solve medium to complex machining and assembly problems.
  • Collaborate with a wide diversity of people and processes.
  • Train and grow within the company, with options for classroom and company-provided training.
Requirements
  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree or other 2-year post-high school training with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience interpreting mechanical blueprints and/or technical drawings.
  • Experience with manual machining equipment.
  • S. government-issued security clearance is required, and S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a mechanical machine shop environment using CNC equipment.
  • Experience with CNC programming, setup, and operation on both Mill and Lathe.
  • Knowledgeable in the setup/operation of manual CMM's.
  • Basic experience in the development and manipulation of computer-generated 3D models in Creo or similar CAD systems.
  • CAM Software: Competent computer skills - Windows, MS Office products.

Clearance Information

This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
